FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Conduct an Awareness and Image Survey? It allows you to measure your brand’s actual visibility, understand how your audiences perceive it, and identify the factors that enhance or limit its standing. The results can, in particular, inform your positioning, your communications, and your marketing priorities.
What is the difference between unaided awareness, aided awareness, and top-of-mind awareness? Unprompted brand awareness refers to brands mentioned without any names being suggested. Prompted brand awareness measures recognition of a brand presented in a list. Top of Mind refers to the first brand spontaneously mentioned by the respondent.
Does an awareness study also measure brand image? Both dimensions can be combined into a single measurement tool. Brand awareness measures how well the brand is remembered, while the brand image study explores the attributes, values, benefits, and perceptions associated with it.
How does our brand compare to its competitors? The questionnaire may include a set of comparable brands. We then assess their level of brand awareness, the attributes associated with them, their ability to differentiate themselves, and their position in the consideration process.
Which groups can be surveyed? The study can be conducted among customers, prospects, consumers, professionals, partners, influencers, or stakeholders. Multiple target groups can be surveyed and compared within the same study.
How many respondents are needed? The sample size depends on the population under study, the desired level of precision, and the number of segments to be compared. We define the sampling plan and quotas based on the analyses you wish to conduct.
Can we analyze the results by target group or by region? Yes. The results can be segmented according to criteria relevant to your strategy: customer profiles, markets, regions, countries, channels, length of relationship, or level of brand awareness.
How long does it take to complete the study? The timeline depends primarily on the number of respondents, the data collection method, and the complexity of the questionnaire. A detailed schedule is established as soon as the scope of the project is defined. However, it typically takes between 4 and 8 weeks from the start of the project to the final delivery of the results.
How often should you measure your brand awareness? A one-time assessment helps establish a diagnosis. Regular monitoring then makes it possible to track the brand’s progress, the impact of communication campaigns, and changes in its market positioning.
